Katerina Violante
Program Director
Overview: Katerina is the Program Director at Club Xcite. Since she was young, she has always had a passion for working with children and adults with learning needs. Her love in this field stems from observing and working alongside her mother in her special education preschool throughout middle and high school. Katerina has been supporting families with specialized needs ever since!
Education: Katerina completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Notre Dame in Maryland where she studied early childhood education. She discovered her passion for working directly with students during this time and spent nearly ten years within specialized literacy development. Through the years, Katerina found further passion in leading teams and will be graduating from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School with a Master of Science in Management and Leadership in the Fall of 2021.
Experience: After studying classroom teaching for K-5th grade students, Katerina formally began her career in education at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes for nearly 10 years. During this time she served as a one-to-one instructor, case manager, evaluator, and director of learning centers across the United States. She then spent a year helping develop a therapy center in San Diego where she created multi-sensory testing and instructional services along with helping prepare the team for leadership in working with families with specialized needs. Her roles over the years have evolved working directly with students of all ages and abilities to leading teams and working with families to help students reach their potential.
Why Club Xcite? Katerina is honored to join the Club Xcite team! Having worked in San Diego for 7 years, Katerina has heard so much about the amazing work the Club Xcite team does with students! She knows the importance of developing the foundational skills within executive functioning to academic and social settings in order for students to reach independence and experience success, and is thrilled to experience this firsthand with the Club Xcite team!
