School Behavior Intervention Services
Club Xcite is a California NPA (Non-Public Agency) supporting districts in Southern and Northern California with Behavior Intervention staffing. Club Xcite’s Behavior Interventionists ( Paraprofessionals, Instructional assistants, and RBTs) work alongside credentialed teachers to help students of any age ensure they learn and adjust behaviors that are optimal for learning and success.
Our Behavior Intervention Program is managed and supervised by a high quality team of BCBAs who can also provide BI Design and Consultants to schools supporting with IEPs.
RBTs, Paraprofessionals, Behavior Aides & Instructional Assistants
Behavior Support Staff provide assistance to the general education, mild/mod or mod/severe classroom teachers or behavior specialists in the implementation of all program components such as the Clinical Program, Instruction, Special Education Services, hygiene, and Physical Fitness.
Assigned Duties & Responsibilities May Include:
1. Assist the Behavior Specialist, Teacher and/or Ed. Specialist with direct observation of students.
2. Gather and collect initial and on-going behavior data, follow provided protocols, and document collected data pursuant to guidelines and parameters provided.
3. Implement and model a variety of common behavior strategies, including but not limited to:
Social skills instruction
Individually targeted skills instruction
Visual schedules
Differential reinforcement
Token economy
Prompting hierarchies and behavior shaping
Tutoring individuals or small groups
4. Assist students with toileting, feeding, grooming, and promoting independence.
5. Assist students to and from busses, pushing wheelchairs when necessary.
6. Ensure health & safety of assigned students inside and outside of the classroom, including field trips, assemblies, at lunch and recess and more.
7. Follow and plan predesigned behavioral strategies set forth in student IEPs.
Provided by: Staff with minimum 2 years of related experience. Trained in basics of behavior and classroom supports by Club Xcite.
